All Unique Questions The Balancing the Sword curriculum is composed of two volumes. Each workbook guides you through all 1,189 chapters of the Bible. People often ask: What's the difference between volume 1 and volume 2 of BTS? Thankfully, EVERYTHING is different. Matthew, Mark and Luke are called the synoptic gospels because they share many common accounts. In fact, approximately 16% of the passages in Scripture mirror the same stories elsewhere in the Bible.
