Incorporating PE: Activity & Movement
Learn how to organize a regular “P.E.” day with your homeschool group or friends and learn the benefits of having activity and movement as part of your homeschool experience – including health benefits, physical fitness, and emotional fitness. Create fun activities that the whole family can enjoy together while utilizing what is readily available at parks and in nature to have a fun, challenging physical experience.
P.E/Movement Workout (Teen)
Have fun with some physical activity first thing in the morning! Find us out on the tennis courts and join in. No special ability needed. The session will use whatever is already available in the environment, as well as props or tools for exercise or play that I can bring with me. Sessions may include: self-defense and/or bullying or Jiu jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, or wrestling. NOTE: the focus is not VIOLENCE, rather movement, control, fundamental movements and drills, physical work out, self-defense, and fun.
Dads Can Too!
Come listen to a diverse group of homeschool dads talk about how they find creative ways to be actively involved with their children’s homeschooling. Many fathers think that because of work schedules or other demands that they cannot be hands-on participants in their family’s journey as homeschoolers. Join this panel of fathers from a variety of backgrounds who dispel this myth.
P.E./Movement (Family)
Have fun with some physical activity first thing in the morning! Find us out on the tennis courts and join in. No special ability needed. In this session for the whole family, all ages are welcome and the focus is on having fun. Run, jump, crawl and climb – we will use whatever is already available in the environment, as well as props or tools for exercise and play that I will bring with me.
